In primary I called it PGL but in secondary I now call it a ‘school trip’ or ‘overnight school trip’. Some other year groups in primary did call it a residential because we only did pgl in year 6.

Ikea do solid doors or drawer inserts and legs you could add to an Eket box and that would turn the box into more of a side table. You can also add legs to Kallax units (not the under frame thingies they also sell, but standard furniture legs) which would elevate the single cube beside your desk and make it look more like a side table

Thank you so much. School didn’t think my son had Autism or ADHD. My husband didn’t think our son has it either, but I’m sure he has. I’m trusting my ‘mama instinct’. He generally just looks a little shy to others but I think there’s more to it. We’ve just had the QB Test for ADHD and we’re now waiting for ADOS assessment x

Set up looks good but verging on crowded. Might end up feeling ‘cluttered’ with more furniture and run the risk of stunting your creativity and air flow if you get me 😅. Personally I’d pop up an acrylic/ invisible floating shelf above and to left of your canvases, and add some hanging greenery that way. Utilise you’re vertical space where possible ❤ loving the content as always xxxx

Oh my goodness! Zara looks so grown up in the video. She speaks so well. She's not the same tiny little one she was exactly. Would it be too cumbersome to have 2 identical lilac/purple sets for Zara's bed?

My eldest (11) has just come back from a week-long residential to Wales. Not knowing if he was ok was the hardest thing 🥺 (he's ADHD as well, so there was that extra thing to consider, but his teachers are great and he enjoyed himself) x

I had an ecg recently and I wore a shirred bust dress so I could pull it down and just have my bra out and not flashing my knickers and could get to the leg 😂 she saw my dress and said oh you'll need to pull that all the way up and I said oh it pulls down and she said oh fab!

Daddy of four is hilarious! My husband is exactly the same I had him assemble my stand up desk he actually read the instructions for once!! My husband is impressed by daddy’s choice of tools, Makita please pass on his regards 🤣 I love my desk it was a great investment I want a treadmill now!

Oh boy what is it with instructions? We're having a kitchen fitted at the moment (kitchen is in, just needs tiles done and washing machine/ tumble dryer put in, painting etc) and I had 3 sets of instructions to figure out last night; hob (the ceramic version of your one, my mother is a careworker and HATES the alarm thingies in induction hobs as you can't tell they're induction and she inevitably sets them off by setting a cup on them) oven (probably similar to yours) and an american fridge freezer (for anybody looking for a black american fridge freezer that has 2 doors and no water dispenser, good luck. They don't really exist. We ended up with black steel and thankfully its not near the oven or else it would look a bit weird.) and they may as well have been written in Gnomish for all I understood them. Beyond basic functions (oven clock, turn on, set temp etc) I've no clue. Even our builders were stumped when it came to making sure they were all working. You mentioned a few 'dings' in your old desk, Ikea sell white paint that suppposedly matches their white furniture (I think B&Q Good Home also do a shade that matches) which could be used for any touch ups (or alternatively sticky vinyl) and you could get one of those clear vinyl table coverings you have on the dining table to protect the desks from farther 'dings' that may be generated. I think there's a website that makes drawer front stickers for alex drawers too which Zara may enjoy.

Me and a friend built my sit stand desk, she is very handy whereas I am useless. She can understand the diagrams even upside down.

As my husband always says, budget for a couple of handy men. I'm not working all day and coming home to work. I don't ask for him to do my projects/ ideas on the weekend. He deserves time off too. It is some of the best money ever spent.

The bright pink Boden shorts look great on you. Keep them! 🩷 The bright colour overrides the fact they're a bit see-through, I think. Like it wouldn't be noticeable. The first Boden navy shorts are good on you too btw. You definitely suit shorts, your figure is perfect for them. I just started to look into a treadmill for under my desk! I already have a stand up desk which I LOVE! Well worth the investment I’m undecided about the treadmill. Plus I’m the same about shorts I’ve always been slim but have a hang up about them. I now live in New Zealand and spend about 8 months in shorts (or dresses) so I’ve just found a few pairs of denims ones which work for me.

Loved the boden shorts and also thought the tennis type skort looked fab, wasn’t a fan of the workout shorts really though as they seemed a funny cut. I’m 50 and wear short shorts live in them especially cycling shorts especially when I’m not at work, but neither cycle or run lol
